Paul Amey
Is it just the mk2 Vitesse rocker shafts that have pedestal shims please?
JohnD
Never factory fitted, hut necessary if you have a skimmed head to ensure correct angulation of the rockers, and their contact with the valve stems. John
ed.h
Some folks install pedestal shims after a head skimming so that they can re-use the stock pushrods. Be careful though--pedestal shims do alter valve train geometry. Enough to matter? Maybe, maybe not, but it's good to be aware. Ed
JohnD
As an alternative, shorter push rods. Revington's used to provide a custom length service, but no more. Their website describes how to determine exactly what length for optimum function. https://www.revingtontr.com/information-sheets/is0066-rocker-geometry
