Dave C
I've bought an electric windscreen washer pump (the one for the 1500 Spitfire) to fit to my GT6 Mk3, replacing the manual plunger mechanism. I'm thinking about wiring and fuse. Can anyone advise me on the amperage of this kind of thing? There is no clue regarding wattage, amperage (or anything else for that matter) supplied with the pump. Thanks, Dave
Gully
I completed the same upgrade a year or so ago. I piggybacked a live feed from the wiper switch (which I changed to a rocker unit at the same time) and earthed to the body via the pump mounting. Current is low and not for any protracted period; Triumph's fuses easily accommodate! Gully
Pete Lewis
Yes a 5 amp is plenty, if youve lucky and you run it frozen it might just blow the fuse rather than wreck the rotor , pete
