Chris Longhurst Posted October 14 Report Posted October 14 Back in 1997 Lledo Vanguards issued a 1/43rd model of a Press Car Triumph Herald 1200 Saloon in 'The Motor' Monte Carlo livery (see photos). The Monte Carlo decals read 'PRESSE' and are dated 1963 (the year 3 Vitesses competed in the Rally). I'm about to write some reviews of the Lledo Heralds for ModelAutoReviewOnline and wondered if the model was based on a 'real car', and if so, if any photos of the real car exist. Thanks - Chris (78/00350)
JohnD Posted October 14 Report Posted October 14 "The Motor" was a magazine published in the UK from 1903 to 1988, when it was absorbed by "Autocar" magazine. It should not be confused wit a US mag called just "Motor". Autocar has an online archive of back issues, that requires a subscription to access, so I can't say if it includes those of The Motor.
