I saw a YouTube video on a car for sale by a company called Stone Cold Classics. Triumph Spitfire - but what caught my eye was the interior. I imagine this car is well known in the area it came from - it would seem that the owner who commissioned it  is unwell and as he would appear to be a member I wish him well if he reads this. A truly splendid car - and I speak having done a ridiculously similar project! This is the dash and gauges of the car on sale

And for comparison, here is mine!

It amused me that he even has the same dials in the same order - I have actually changed mine recently so that I have three matching dials in front of the gearstick. Not only that, but we both decided on the Club gear knob in alloy and specified the earlier O/D stalk on the steering column. (In my view a far superior position though others will differ!) The main difference is the engine as mine is a six cylinder and mine has a few other mods but the similarities were striking. I am just sorry that we never met at a show but I have only just retired and rarely had the time. I think the Spitfire is a lovely car and clearly would make someone a superb car.
