daverclasper
Hi folks. Are the fuel mixture piston/s (raised off the diaphragm) in these carbs interchangeable with other carb bodies, as I have heard there not. Any advice would be great. Cheers, Dave
Pete Lewis
Any cd 150 piston will fit any carb of the same family what does vary is the thickness and weight of the diaphragm retainer ring, again all mix and matchable, you can fit air pistons from cdse into cd and visa versa, also fixed and biased needles work in either, you can have a cdse top adjuster piston fit it in a bottom adjuster cd or cds and it can work fit a fixed cd/cds needle piston in a cdse and you cant adjust the mixture pete They are not graded on the production line , any problems with having to rotate tops is down to aged distortion and overtightening over the years

dougbgt6
Don't be daft Pete, it wouldn't fit. Otherwise I might give it a go! Other things I have put through it, greasy kitchen light fittings, windscreen wiper bottle, radiator overflow bottle, assorted tools and beer bottles prior to the next brewing frenzy. All came out much improved. And the washing machine doesn't escape either, did my seat covers in it in a kill or cure operation. They came out pristine, disappointing really as I was looking forward to leather covers.
Colin Lindsay
Don't bake high temperature paint in the oven; it may cure nicely but smells for weeks afterwards.
dougbgt6
My dad used to bake his Hammerited projects in the oven, while mother was out shopping, obviously. No wonder her cakes tasted funny. Myself, I've invested in a self cleaning oven which burns everything off.
Pete Lewis
my wife could beat it .....black ring pie is her speciality Thread drift do you think we need a section for drift i really dont know how this happens but were good at it Ha ! dougbgt6
An interesting philosophical conundrum. If there' s going to be a section about thread drift the posts on it will have to drift. But if they do it's not really drifting because drift is the thread? Time for my medication.
