jimmyrjm
Hi, I'm working on my dashboard cap for my Triumph GT6 MK3 and I took off the original plastic cap that was on there before and I have a new one from Rimmer Brothers. Unfortunately only once I took the original plastic cap off did I realise that I didn't have to take it off as I could apply the new plastic cap straight onto the old one. Is this a problem? or can I just glue the new cap straight onto the metal and foam main piece? I have attached some pictures below.. Rimmer Brothers dash cap came with some sealant/adhesive glue - will this stick the plastic to the foam or should I just use some contact adhesive? Also how do I repair the damaged edges of foam? (pictures of damage attached). Hope you can help! Kind regards, James.
