petegardner_901
Hi I am replacing the timing chain on the GT6 and while I was at it measured the crankshaft end float. It is .003" excess over the max. recommended. Is this significant or do I just ignore it... Pete
Pete Lewis
the endfloat spec varies a bit over the ranges of vit gt6 and 2000 saloon 2000/Vit/Gt6 new spec 0.006" - 0.014" but recomends 0.006" to 0.008" 2500 0.006 - 0.008 My 2000 needs a look its at 0.014" looks and sounds Horrible but it in tolerance, so thats 0.006" more than the recommended hardest job on a 6pot Vit/GT6 is raising the engine a little and fighting the sump off, but can be done 'on car ' its not an engine out job....just a bit of cursing and strong tea Pete
