Hello.

Decent family run businesses providing top-tier services, be it for classic car enthusiasts or other interests, become rarer each year. To that end I was particularly glad to be informed about "Bryan & Son Radiators" in Tunbridge Wells Kent, recently.

I'm uprating one of my classics and on the to do list was expand the radiator from 2 row to 3 row including a high performance density cooling matrix.

I have written a detailed article for a another publication, so I thought I would cut & paste some of the pertinent points for your perusal; plus some photographs.

Contact details are: "Bryan & Son Radiators", 165A Camden Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 2RF  (01892 544635).

Hopefully the recommendation may be of use to folks.

Good luck.

Richard.

Uprating the rad, plus fitting a thermal switch (which I supplied) was a total of £250 all-in; as mentioned with the attached pdf extract on post 1.

The original 2x row rad had 34 flutes per row with the standard matrix of that era - late 60's. The upgrade to a modern 3x row now has 52 flutes per row which is an increase of approximately 129% (68 to 156 flutes) with the bonus of a modern high performance cooling matrix.

Personally I think it is very good value and with that level of craftsmanship in addition.

Regards.

Richard.
