jimmyrjm
Hi guys, I just wanted some clarification as to what this cable does off a Triumph GT6 MK3 and where it goes, I labeled one end 'speedo' when I took it off the car 2 years ago when I started the full restoration. But I don't know where the other end goes to? Pics below. Regards, Jim.

Pete Lewis
Dont recognise that as anything triumph1, Dougs an the right track but its only the length of the seat squab so speedo would need to be in the tunnel not the dash cant see its anything Gt6 or any other Triumph never seen a rolled splined drive being armoured its more motorcycle or something well away from our classics pete
Mick
Could it be the trip mileage reset cable on the speedometer? Regards, Mick
Gully
It's the trip reset for the speedo. The end labelled speedo screws into the back of the speedometer and the other end mounts just under the fascia. Can never remember which way it turns, but it turns the trip back to OOO.O Gully
AidanT
mine fits in a hole through the Parcel tray support There is a nut that holds it there but unfortunately I have lost mine Does any one know what the thread size is? dougbgt6
I've also lost the securing nut, one of those jobs where you think "I'll try some candidates from the random tin", but never quite get around to it. Additionally, my cable is plastic clad, not wound metal like the one in the picture, so I'm not sure it's correct.
