Gt6 exhaust brackets

Hi

 

I have just fitted a Rimmer sports exhaust to my GT6. It has the centre silencer and the twin rear silencers. The old system I took of was a twin rear silencer system but the only mountings were on the two rear silencers which hung off the rear valance. I am not happy having all the weight just supported from the back. I bought a mounting kit as well but it is not clear what I should be mounting off and to which part of the exhaust. In the kit were the two brackets in the photo below plus a lot of "U" clamps.

 

Any suggestions?

well here a bit of a guess

  the angled with bush fits the diff front carrier and the twisted one comes of the clutch hsg / gearbox zone

Correct Pete. It is important that the rear mounts comress the rubber bobbins not hang off them. This not only will give a much better life of the bobbins but also will allow a bit more ground clearance.
