I have an aluminium bell housing for an early Herald / Spitfire that I am selling and can bring to Stoneleigh on Sunday. I think I may also have the plate.

It is the unit that has the reverse oil scroll.

Normally these bell housings are cast iron, so will upload some photos on Tuesday so you can have a visual.

In addition I also have a Triumph Vitesse / GT6 bell housing with engine plate. The bell housing is STANPART 305476.

If interested, drop me a PM.

That's a front engine plate for an early Herald, a Standard 8 or 10, or an Atlas.

This shows the more common later front plate, with the earlier plate on top. (The girder thingie is the cradle used - so far as I know - only in the Atlas.)

Cheers, Richard
