Kevin.payne.15 Posted April 25, 2017 Report Share Posted April 25, 2017 I've tried replacing most things on the rear drivechain so have got to the point of planning to swap out the diff. Does anyone know or recommend a decent source of diff rebuilds and is it worth going the whole hog and changing the crown wheel? Pete Lewis Posted April 26, 2017 Report Share Posted April 26, 2017 TD Fitchets must sell a good few, I have been involved with gearbox and diffs for 42 yrs , I would not rebuild any diff without the mandrils to acurately measure the pinion height to set the mounting distance and case spreader to get the correct preload shims inserted and backlash set I wouldnt touch a diff of this design.unless you want a howler. diff bearings need preload or under load the mesh will move . pete Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
