daverclasper Posted August 20, 2017 Report Share Posted August 20, 2017 Hi On Vitesse with Stroms. Plug no 2 shows running rich compared with 1 and 3. No oil on spark plug. No 2 piston is very oily on top, when viewed through spark plug hole, compared to other 5 . Could this using oil on this cylinder/wear, be related for this please?. Help great please. cheers, Dave. dougbgt6 Posted August 20, 2017 Report Share Posted August 20, 2017 Sounds like a job for a compression tester, £12 on Ebay if you haven't got one. Bore compressions should be all about the same, if 2 is significantly down, it's rings. Is plug 2 darker than the others, is that what make you think it's rich? If it were oil on top of the piston I would expect the plug to also be oily. It's probably carbon from running rich. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
