Bleeding clutch

Just renewed the master and slave cylinders on my Vitesse 6.  Fitted a braided s/steel hose to connect the two and bled it before I installed the slave.  It does work but there is more pedal travel than before.  Does it need more bleeding?  I just used a tube and jam jar - is there a more effective system these days?  What do you recommend?

This has been said many times , bleed nipple must be above the feed,  push slave back fully into its cylinder to reduce volume

Check pedal clevis pins and pedal holes for wear, , make sure pedal is not seized and fully returns to its stop and there is some small free play/end float on the pushrod to the master cyl with your foot off.    So there is just small pedal travel before it presses the master.
