dougbgt6
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-GT6-1973-mk3/292304894838?hash=item440ebabb76:g:xfYAAOSwXaRZ7upI This ad got me thinking about survival, my gut feeling is there are far more mk3s than 1s & 2s. However, Wikipedia tells me there were nearly 41k GT6s and only 31% were mk3s. The web site, how many left doesn't differentiate between mks but say 1734 GT6s left, only 4%! So are there more mk3s because of rust and suicidal rear suspension?
Gully
I've read several different survival rates for the 3 marks of GT6, but the only figure I really believe is the greatly reduced export rate for the Mk3, meaning more of that model survive in the UK (probably the same survival rate, but ergo a greater number). My personal favourite mark is the 2, but they'd become unaffordable by the time I bought mine. The only one I could view in my price range featured an awful lot of recently painted rust and air-based crumple zones... And it was being sold by a Triumph specialist!
