DerekS
Aldi have black plastic greenhouse grow-bag trays in @ £2.99, they are an ideal size for use under the car as a drip tray... (I have no connection with aldi.)

Pete Lewis
Used them for some years now, whats good is put a good dusting of oil absorb or cat litter, rev the engine and the fan Puts it all at the back of the garage But excellent drip trays
Anglefire
Interestingly, I bought a couple of trays from Ikea for the very same reason - well more for catching the bit I drop when working on the car - only £2 a pop
Tricky
Yes I bought a big square planter tray from Dobbies Garden Centre which I found to be better since it doesn’t have to be too accurately centred under the car to catch the assorted drips ! Interestingly, I found that Machine Mart parts cleaner fluid is excellent for cleaning these drip trays out occasionally. Think it’s just mainly a very strong detergent, which is ideal. Left the drip tray completely oil-free.
Gully
I bought a couple from Wilko last year - mine are filled with sand, which I had to recover from the back of the car port after revving to 4000rpm following a few set up tweaks! AndyTV8
Doesn’t anyone else just have a brick in their drip-tray to prevent that?
dougbgt6
This is what I use, left over from when I used to mix concrete. It holds a whole sumpfull of oil, as I discovered when the useless article below failed to work as advertised! Doug
Colin Lindsay
Don't tell me: the oil came out of the engine faster than it could drain into the container, and it all overflowed? Happened to me too.... I have one of the frying-pan versions that works if you keep an eye on it.... but you always get that annoying really thin trickle at the end that the wind catches and blows everywhere. (I can just hear the incontinence jokes flooding in.. or is that out? ) 1
Chris A
I have an old oven baking tray I use when changing oil, to catch any spray, with an old plastic 5 litre distilled water container with a side cut out on top. It works fine and cost nothing. Looks like dougbgt6's device but as the oil falls directly into the container no overflow problem, well not unless there is more then 5 litres of oil to come out. Anglefire
I have something similar Doug - but I cut the top out of mine so it actually goes in the thing. Getting it out though is a little more challenging- but as a rule I just decant into an empty oil container and then take it to the tip.
Pete Lewis
Ive got a very older version somewhat similar to Dougs but was orange,, its worked ok for 30, years , its got a decent sized drain , but agree with Colin dont Do it if ttheres any wind about Pete
