That is interesting, is there any likelihood that the two separate R9's may have come from the same batch or was the purchase too far apart to make that coincidental ??

Purchases too far apart I'd say - pretty much a full year.  I'd meant to not buy again from the same place, but had misplaced the details at the critical moment and ended up doing just that.......  Shan't do it again!  There are many people out there with the same problem, many of whom, but not all, have purchased from the same source.  My advice would be to avoid!
