Andrew P
We have just purchased a Herald 13/60 convertible and wondered if anyone can advise the best place to get a set of 4 new tyres best suited to the car - and at a good price ? We found a place offering 4 original style 145R13 PIRELLI CINTURATO tyres but at £400 for 4. If anyone knows an alternative source that might be more economical that would be great ! dougbgt6
Andrew, See the "tyres that really work thread" , ignore the ludicrous, but near the end Avons, 4 for £130. Doug
Andrew P
Thank you so much Doug, That's great ! Just to make sure that I was looking in the right place is it the Avon ZT5 175/70 R13 82T tyres that you have used for your Herald ? They look to be decent tyres & incredibly good value. mpbarrett
check the size of the tyre, if it has standard wheels I think they should be 155 not 175. Have a look at the side wall of the tyre that are on the car at present. mike
dougbgt6
Andrew, I don't have a Herald! I have a GT6, I got 5 Avons (buy four get one free) for £120 about 3 years ago. Check out Mikes post, If they do 175s for that price it's likely they do 155s also. Doug
Andrew P
Thanks for the help. For the record our Herald has 155/80 R13 79T Tyres and we now have some arranged at a good price so all is fine. Many thanks ! Andrew
