Another trip out today. This time to take my dads ashes to the crem at Warwick before he gets scattered tomorrow.
First and the last time he has been in it. He was going to have a ride when it was finished.

I even washed and polished it this morning

This shot is when we got back to my mums FA0C6A06-A33D-4937-AF96-7642D1596727.thumb.jpeg.7dcf6d5924c269c90c2a49dc850ff9d8.jpeg

Went out house hunting yesterday... nice house, interesting architecture, but decided the garage wasn't big enough.

Maybe, but the potential of that roundabout for drifting must have been tempting? Perhaps you do enough drifting on the forum . . . .

I've just got back from going shopping, 97 miles round trip in gorgeous weather and excellent roads.

The trouble is that at my age by the time I've got to where I'm going I've forgotten why.SAM_1755.thumb.JPG.84af13cd4ba7863a903175724e5342b4.JPG

Of course, silly me - to buy a new bike.

There were a lot of other people trying them out as well

Didn't buy a bike in the end, bought some cheese instead.

Got home ok as I have an old GPS unit in the car with my home programmed in.

Why is it that on small narrow roads you always meet oncoming traffic on blind bends? On coming included at least one tractor and BIG trailer & huge lorry.

* Paris - Camembert cycle race, usually in April. Bit of a misnomer this year as it only went from Pont Audermer to Camembert then back to Livarot.

Nice of them to remind you. Bet round the next corner there's another one which says 'crackers' and then round the next corner, 'wine'....

No, it's cider country. 'Around' the next corner is a small place called Crouttes. Slight spelling change to croûtes gives 'crusts', is that close enough?

Pete

My doctor says I am allowed to cycle but only on the flat, as you can see in the photo it isn't flat here.

The Lycra gear wouldn't be a problem though as my wife has quite a stock of leftovers from when she had her own business as a theatre costumière. It would have to be made up of small bits though and I'd end up looking like Harlequin.

I have a lot less hair but apart from that a pretty close resemblance.
