A while back club shop sold an easy drain adaptor but on some 6s it was not an easy fit due to tight clearance .

made draining a  clean job  Just pop,the cap and out it runs ,, was a bit pricey but concept was good.

Always fit these to my moderns as draining oil always seems to hit a bit of the vehicle and reappear somewhere that you dont have a catch tray.

I use the Fumoto brand

Had on on my 300TDi Disco then L322 TD6 RR and at present my Amarok which has a 90 degree offset.

Why is the plug a square head when just about everything else is hex. There must be a logical reason for it?

Don't know the reason but have file a large nut to fit over the square then welded it on.

Done of the car and a lot easier to remove.
