Roger89
I suppose it only makes sense to change the oil on the second-hand diff I've bought from the spitfire graveyard. What oil should I use and should I use something like a molyslip additive. I noticed one of the drive shaft input bearings was a bit grinding. So two new ones I've just arrived from rimmer brothers. Should I keep the one that's ok as a spur or should I just change them both?
Clive
Use ep90 or 80-90 but it MUST be gl4 spec (NOT gl5) Think it takes a pint, but it is the same oil as used in the gearbox and indeed the front trunnions, so any spare won't go to waste.
