JohnD
This 'app' runs on an iPhone, and uses a flashing light, just like an ignition timer strobe. If the light beam can be shone on the crank pulley, it should tell you, in the same way what the revs are. Pete Lewis
Its easier to jack up on stands and turn both wheels together and count the turns of the prop Rather than remove the tunnel Pete
Pete Lewis
Have you got a drill of known rpm and driven the cable to attempt prove of the tacho reading A mis calibrated tacho makes a simple solution to all this And the diff spec prefix is stamped on the bottom of the diff case what is it ???? JohnD
isn't it essential that both wheels turn together, Pete? Else the prop count goes out? Needing an assistant? If Gordon has two, fine, as another must lie beneath the car and count prop shaft turns. John
Pete Lewis
I said turn both together On the deck is best you dont want the diff gears turning unless you have a idea of the planet /sun ratio Pete
