PatK
Hi, does anyone have a spare inlet manifold for a Mk2 Vitesse 2L, with a Banjo bolt that is not seized? Good price paid. Thanks. Pat. PLEASE CANCEL THIS REQUEST, I HAVE JUST GOT ONE FROM THE SPITFIRE GRAVEYARD.
Clive
I doubt that exists. They all seize and suffer. Which is why it is best to leave the banjo well alone! You would be better off using something like this to get yours fixed or restored: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TRIUMPH-GT6-ALL-MODELS-REFURBISHMENT-INCLUDING-BROKEN-BANJO-BOLT-REMOVAL/264273753382?hash=item3d87f17526:g:hX0AAOSwdzBcf--R
PatK
Thanks Clive, have you seen the price that he is asking? Luckily I have got one from the Spitfire Graveyard,. that should be OK.
Clive
To be fair, £59 the sort the damaged threads on the manifold sounds OK. For£200 it is a full service, which won't be cheap but often unnecessary. Best take great care, I scrapped a few manifolds because of previous owners having a go at the banjo bolts. I never ever tried undoing one for that reason.
