Colin Lindsay
Seems remarkably clean for one that's been abandoned for years... no moss or green algae on the paint??? Looks like someone has thrown a handful of leaves over a good car.... my modern is worse than that after only two days outdoors.
Pete Lewis
yes has the hallmarks of bit of a set up, of a car that requires some TLC bit like using gravy browning to advertise oven cleaners pete
Chris A
Yes I agree, looked too clean
PeterH
I thought it looked staged when I saw it, but I'm sceptical of a lot of YouTube content.
Gary Flinn
It reminds me of when Mark Evans (A car is Reborn) found & restored the E-Type on a farm, it was covered in mud but you could see it was all staged and the car was basically sound. They did fully restore it though! 😉 Gary
johny
Anybody who thinks any reality show isnt staged is deluding themselves - still watch the car ones though👍
dougbgt6
I think Car SOS are honest about the cars, the GT6 they did was some large parts and boxes and boxes of bits. However, all the dodgy bartering for spares is a fiction, less of that and more on the car. db
johny
Even with SOS Ive seen car parts that have been changed and not mentioned on the programme, then theres stuff that goes wrong but never gets shown and also how all that work gets done in such a remarkably short time... Gary Flinn
I remember Chatting to Cliff (The Trimmer on Car SOS) at one of the Triumfest Shows at Donington, he owns a GT6 Mk2. He assured me the 3 week restoration period was genuine and that Fuzz and Tim often worked into the early hours of the Morning on some of the cars? the episode with the restoration of the Pagoda SL Merc was a good one and it took far longer than 3 weeks with that car. The Bodyshell in particular was apparently the worst they had ever seen?!!

Enjoy it before it gets banned for some reason or other...
dougbgt6
And our own Andy Cook was in it, but they could only use him in long shots, with soft focus. 😆 Doug
