Neil Clark
As advised I have been doing hours of learning! There are three radiator sizes (at least). As Pete says, the original like this one with the header tank for the early cars, a narrow one next and then a wider one. My car's got the header tank etc in perfect as-new condition fitted so I'm going to keep it this way. All the old metal stamps and labels on the damaged radiator point to it being from a supplier used then. I've got an aluminium radiator in the B GT and it is great for the higher output engine I've installed in it. But I'm pretty sure that to get an ally radiator custom built to suit the header tank configuration with two outlets at the top on the Spitfire won't be much cheaper than Aaron's repairs. And a visit to Aarons is worth a bit for the fun of the conversation!
