daverclasper
Hi. My oil pressure readings are good by the gauge when running and ok at idle, though someone mentioned that if it flickers at idle, it's a symptom of low pressure. My car has a bit of uneven idle, so assume the pump will pulse the pressure (though should it drop accordingly?). My gauge flickers at idle (around 700 rpm). Cheers, Dave
Pete Lewis
sleep easy Dave dont see that as a problem, remember the only spec is at 2000 rpm 40 -60 psi there are no specs for idle other than the 6-8 psi of the low pressure switch some gauges need to be damped often done by squashing the feed pipe(metal ones) to make a restriction but i wouldnt worry Pete
