Our local micro brewery, Binghams, announced yesterday free home delivery on their bottled beer within 5 mile radius. £2.75 a pint still the old price.

Today they've extended it to "bright" beer in polypins.  If I buy 20 litres, 35 pints, £1.98 a pint! Bright should be drunk within 4 days, 8 pints a day, might give it a go, I've nothing else to do.

Actually as a beer maker I know bright can be kept a lot longer. Keep it in the cold, my garage, and it’ll last 2+ weeks. Even after it’ll still taste good if a little flat, but if you don’t like fizzy beer, that’s fine.

Could cut the son-in-laws in, but distribution could be a problem. No.1 is now house bound due to one of his down with the lurge.

Then there’s the neighbours, beer for toilet rolls?
