i went to the regular white lion antiques classic car breakfast in hartley witney  yesterday--great turnout probably over 200 cars over the morning but no vitesses, spitfires or heralds apart from my 13/60.there were a couple of nice stags and one gt6.

are they all in hibernation ?

the next meeting is on the 14th june and it would be nice to see some more triumphs there, its a great morning out on a nice day and hartley witney is easy to get to for people living in the hampshir/surrey/ berkshire and west london areas.

hope to see you there!

cheers

I get the same feeling. I see more Triumphs on the road than at shows so they are about. Perhaps we would rather drive them than show them?

I keep meaning to get down there, to sample one of the breakfasts Andy Cook enthuses about, I bet that was his GT6?  I get up at the crack of 09.30 these days and thought I'd be too late but Andy assures me the breakfasts are available all day. So maybe next time.

If they were common, I’d never have bought any in the first place… :)

However this often makes me laugh, when I see Triumphs at shows labelled “the only one in the UK’… and of course, the prices on any marked “For Sale” also raise a smile.

Quite a few Triumphs down in Spa this weekend................

Personally, I do prefer to drive my cars rather than park them up. Saying that, a cuppa, bit of cake and an ice cream with a flake a little later could change my mind (on a sunny day). Bacon has a similar effect.
