Spit, GT6, Herald, Vitesse, Dolomite, TR7 all have 3 3/4" (95.25mm) P.C.D. Various widths and some variation in offset. What is the problem with you wheels? do they fit on the studs?

Hi David

Factory standard MkIV and 1500 wheels fit, and as you can see from the picture on the left, my car is running around on them. Weller are an aftermarket wheel supplier, well-known in the custom car scene in the 1980s, and if they have come off Fleabay, heaven knows what their real provenance is (as opposed to the fantasy island BS spouted by many so-called traders on there in their ads.) Even if the Wellers fit the wheel stud pattern and spacing, the offset may not be right, and can create clearance issues. This may help:

Good luck

thanks guys--the wheels fit on to the studs but the studs  are not central in the holes ( about 1/8 th inch to the side ) and the centre hole will not pass over protusions on the hubs.the offset is mostly on the inner side of the wheel but there does not seem to be any clearance problems .the wheels are 5.5 j .

anyone got any idea what they could be off as they are in good condition so i would like to sell them on so i probably need to measure the p.c.d

how do i do that ?

You need to check the PCD. (The distance centre to centre between two opposite stud holes) Triumph is 3 3/4" (95.25mm), a lot of Fords are 108mm and almost everything non ford/peugeot uses 4/100 PCD (4 being the number of studs). Once you have the PCD just advertise them with that. People can then decide for themselves and you have only provided the facts.

I reckon pcd is 100mm. That is 4.75mm bigger than small triumphs, so about 1/8". Fit all sorts of cars. Or 4" which is a tad over 100mm, mini sized.

Close but no cigar, and mis sold.

i have been offered a set of of wolfrace slot mags off a tr7--will they have the correct offset and wheel nut fit etc.
