wimpus
Hi all. Seems someone in Germany remakes the plastic covers for the seatbelt stowage for the spit 1500's. Bought some and they look and work great. Top pic: left is original, right is new.

Badwolf
Yes please. I've been looking for a pair of these for some considerable time.

Badwolf
Sadly the whole unit no longer appears to be available, but thanks
Peter Truman
Could be a candidate for 3D Printer possibilities, there was a thread somewhere.
Badwolf
Peter - Yes, I have been following the various threads which have come up. I would like to try 3D printing but lack the equipment or expertise. I will leave it to someone who knows about these things but if anyone finds another source I would be very interested as I'm sure many who have installed inertia reel belts would be. I'm not sure why Securon do not include them with their kit. Also re-reading the thread along with the German Fleabay translation, I appear to have misunderstood. I though that the whole unit was available. Obviously it is only the plastic cover, hence the comments in the listing about 'not asking about the whole unit'. Apologies Wimpus. Peter Truman
might have a word with the daughter who is making a larger 3D printer to do up to 12in sized objects, also one of our club members worked for a Medical Co and he made a 3D scull cap for a Dutch woman and a titanium honeycomb heal for a local man who lost his to cancer, honeycomb so the body could grow back into it! Unfortunately the company was sold to a US medical co and they wanted him to relocate to the USA with his specialist skills so he quit, he's now one of the best dent removers in Melbourne he has a really nice big Triumph saloon which produces 185bhp at the wheels & has Corvette brakes to match. Also one of my neighbours runs a gear manufacture business who also do instrument gears and he scans and then makes 3D parts.

The whole units used (mostly broken plastic cover) do pop up on ebay sometimes. I do know someone that has some of the original units for sale.. Been thinking of buying them, buying new covers and sell them on. Regards, Wim
Badwolf
Wim - PM me if you get any for a decent price. The part number appears to be ZKC1550, which of course is no longer available. Thanks BW
