David McHugh
Hi Chaps Has anyone got advise on getting cam followers out ? I am using a magnet and they come up until the top edge and won't pass that point, it is as though there is a ridge at edge Thank you in advance David
Pete Lewis
Just what engine is this ? one old trick is use a rawlbolt , get one large enough dia to fit in the bore , tighten it till it grips and use a tube or socket over it , to make a drag and wind it out pete

JohnD
Wimps! Stick a finger in and crook it! Like doing a 'finger-jam' while hanging upside down over 3,000 feet of un-roped climb. or something. The ridge isn't wear, it's gungy deposit. Andy Sollis
We had a cam follower explode the other week on our TR7 2 litre engine. Had to send the head away for a refurb. The remaining ones came back with nuts welded to them as only way the chap could lift them out.
