Colin Lindsay
An impact wrench will sort out the non-mover; if you do't have access to one then heat and penetrating oil - not both at once - will help. For the other one you've possibly stripped a thread, so it will need outwards pressure as you rotate it in order to remove it from the upright. Does it move far in both directions ie spin round freely, or just a slight movement one way then the other? If this is the case there's hope for the thread, but if it just spins freely then it's badly stripped so hope it's the bolt and not the upright that's lost the thread. Hopefully you'll be able to retap the upright but in any case I'd replace the bolts for the benefit of new threads.

thescrapman
2000 calliper bolts seem to do that spinny thing, it is to do with the backplate and corrosion on the bolts.. use a smaller spanner as a lever behind bolt head whilst turning the bolt. Will pop straight out.
Woody2000
Trouble is can’t get anything behind the head to lever it
RogerH
Hi Woody hammer a screwdriver blade under the head. The head can't be perfectly flat - it will go. Once the blade is in turn the head - it will come out. Roger

Pete Lewis
yes dropping the whole strut is easy, do not undo the big nut in the top mount or this will release the road spring and possibly some fingers and a black eye if you do want to check the top metalastic mounts strut top pivot bushes you must get a spring compressor if you dont want to drop the strut off the lower control arm drop the control arm inner bush bolt and leave the whole unit as assembled Pete
thescrapman
If dismantling do not lose the camber shims. Note where they came from.

Colin Lindsay
Can you get access to the rear of the bolt? Putting pressure on the end that you can see whilst unwinding at the head end sometimes gives the outward pressure you need to start it moving. Even just a few good whacks with the end of a smaller bolt placed against the end of the larger one you're trying to release and a hammer can move it. It wouldn't be the first one I'd used the point of a two-legged puller to exert force - is there enough access for something like that? Can you grip the head in a set of grips and pull outwards as you turn?
