screwbritishleyland
I have removed the gearbox from my mk4 1300 spitfire, the case no. is WH21445 alledgedly for a dolomite, however the chewed up reverse idler has 18 teeth not 17 can anyone explain? will a 17 do or is it likely form a midget/mini/any other british leyland car? what clutch friction plate would suit? 68vitesse
Is the gearbox three rail, reverse by first, or single rail reverse by third or forth, can not remember. Input shaft fine, from single rail, or course, three rail splines about twenty or ten. Both used same case as did some dolomites except I believe the sprint. There are some oddities out there that Triumph never made, I have a three rail with a fine input shaft and J type overdrive.
screwbritishleyland
It's single rail but I can't find a 18 tooth reverse idler any where, apparently they used to put a dolly box in and get a smaller input shaft made.
screwbritishleyland
I think it's fine spline and j type overdrive
