martyn wright
Hi! Anybody know if a Rover 200(1999 Model) Servo will fit my Vitesse? Sam Shattock has one, and asked if I wanted it?? Cheers Martyn
johny
Not sure exactly what the Rover servo is like but its almost certainly a combined master cylinder/servo unit which would be next to impossible to fit to the Vitesse. You need a 'remote' type servo which are commonly available and use the original master cylinder so that it can be fitted separately where space permits.... Colin Lindsay
It's a large combined unit of reservoir and servo; it won't fit without major surgery eg moving the clutch pedal to the passenger side...

NonMember
Well, yes, that's obvious to you and me but... some years ago at Stoneleigh I came across a trader (I forget who but I vaguely recall it being someone "known") who had on his table a servo / master cylinder assembly of that type, which he had labelled as "GT6". When I pointed out the pedal box arrangement, he insisted I was wrong and it was, indeed, from a GT6.

NonMember
Hehe! And for extra irrelevant nonsense, I've just listened to a random podcast that I discovered, for which the theme music was written by someone calling himself "Breakmaster Cylinder"
Colin Lindsay
Might be related to Grandmaster Flash, who was always blowing the main fuse...
