NonMember Posted November 23, 2020 Report Share Posted November 23, 2020 One point on the 063 (which is what I use) is that the terminals are swapped compared to an 027, so you need to put them bulkhead side rather than clamp side. Also, you may need a different clamp as the 063 is wider. I generally buy my batteries from Tayna. They have a broad selection at a range of prices. I've found even the budget ones are pretty decent. Guest Posted November 23, 2020 Report Share Posted November 23, 2020 Hello Duncan, I also use a 063 and my personal choice is Bosch, of which this is the unit I am using and has been in situ for about 6yrs now: S5 001 Bosch Car Battery 12V 52Ah Type 063 S5001 (tayna.co.uk) It has a decent CCA and charge rate - well worth the money which I do not think is excessive to begin with.
