I really like this Stag drawing and am keen to find either a digital copy in hi-res or a printed copy I can buy. Searching on the internet I can only find a small low-res copy of the original. Does anyone know if such a thing is available?

The TSSC museum has a number of Michelotti drawings. No idea if the Club has this one or would be prepared to reproduce it.

It is absolutely stunning, like much of the great man's work.

There is also a Michelotti archive in Turin, try googling. The Michelotti archive collaborates with the Coventry transport museum, so they could also be worth approaching.

Hope this is some help.

The club's museum is worth a visit, when it reopens after present restrictions. There are a number of Triumph cars, a Herald display chassis built by Triumph apprentices back in the day, engineering ephemera, competition memorabilia etc.

I must check if they got the Herald press car I put them onto a while back?

What car was that Colin? Can't imagine the Club buying more cars for the museum these days, but what do I know?

The 1961 press Herald, 9961HP, that I wrote about recently, the owner wanted it to go to a museum so I put Chris in touch with him; last I heard they'd done a deal but I've no idea if it ever arrived or what the timescale is.

Thank you for the leads. I have sent a message to the club. I have also written to the Archive in Milan. Their website mentions a collaboration with the V+A Museum. Following that link, the V+A have a collection of his sketches, although unfortunately this does not include any of the Stag.

Here's an interesting pic - sorry, Babord for hi-jacking your original thread - but it may amuse GT6 owners; I found this one a year or two ago on a website that specialised in 'modernising' or 'streeting' older cars. This one was redrawn by a GT6 enthusiast and looks even more 'E-type' than it did back in the day. I wonder what Michelotti would have designed differently today?

Quick update on my original request.

I did not get any response to the email I sent to the club and shop.

I did get a response from the Archive in Milan, and talked with Edgardo Michelotti, who has quite a few interesting Stag renderings I have not seen elsewhere. Unfortunately, he wants €350 to send a high res digital image by email.

In the meantime, I found a better quality image elsewhere on the Internet, which was just about good enough for an A4 print on art paper to hang on my office wall.
