Think we need to wait for a few test cases to get legal clarification. Anyway, I have fitted LED bulbs to my 2015 Vauxhall, and hopefully no one will notice. From new it had the worst set of headlights I have ever encountered on a car, set of 60's Lucas Sealed Beams would out perform them easily. That I could drive on main beam permanently and no one would flash me says just how poor they were. Looking at others after I purchased it revealed they all had HID units. Wish the salesman had told me. £45 a bulb for the original halogen, £40 a pair of LED bulbs, so when one blew I did what's I should have done 4 years ago in hindsight.
