Yes, the spitfires had the fusebox has part of the loom.

Have you worked out how to get the loom through the hole ? that looks fun.

A few people have used alternative fuseboxes, usually with modern blade fuses so simply cut the old connectors, crimp female spades and go from there. And yes, not much space. I presume you have removed the glovebox, you will get better access (and a sore back if you are as old as me)

Hi Clive, I should be able to get enough of the look through to do it, but I might take your advise and put a modern one in or while I'm about it extend the wires and put it inside the car as a lot of rally cars had this, thanks for the advise, decision time!

There is a good thread on here somewhere, with a fusebox recommendation and wiring diagrams. Can't find it now, need to go to work....
