Colin Lindsay Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triumph-Herald-Callipers-/111727251616?&_trksid=p2056016.l4276 Either the seller has it wrong, or there are entire new possibilities for Herald brakes on the market. Has someone found single piston versions that fit?
Essex2visuvesi Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 Next to the bleed nipple they have a Ford logo
dougbgt6 Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 No,don't understand, non-Herald owner, does not compute, don't understand. What does it mean?
Pete Lewis Posted July 26, 2015 Report Posted July 26, 2015 These are calpers with slides , cant see anyway they would fit any triumph mount completely wrong generation if the boltslide centres were correct , whats the offset to centre the disc dont go there !!!!! there, some good electronic dizzy on ebay shows 45D4 for the 6 cylinder range .. must be reduced power version Pete
Colin Lindsay Posted July 27, 2015 Author Report Posted July 27, 2015 He’s changed the listing from Triumph Herald brake calipers to Ford Granada / Sierra calipers. Makes more sense now… but I was wondering if someone had manufactured uprated brakes for the Herald and not told the rest of us…
Pete Lewis Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 I guess somewhere there's a modern equivalent with correct bolt spacing and disc of set but guess if so places like brake engineering would have found one, club shop are marketing twin pot calipers for some of the type 16 + range vitesse-------2500 not the 4cyl cars Pete
Clive Posted July 27, 2015 Report Posted July 27, 2015 Ford M16 calipers fit to std spit/hearld upringhts, just need a GT6 disc reduced in diameter a bit. That tip came from a Triumph chap of note (not me, somebody who knows an awful lot about genuine competition cars)
