SU carb needles

I have had my 1500 engine rebuilt to fast road spec with new sports  exhaust manifold  and k&n filters. the engine runs out off puff at 3500 rpm i am told i need to change the carb needles

please can i have some advice as to which ones and how much difference it makes

the old triumph tune Moss book advises  yellow (bed spring) damper spring for KN filters   and various needles for HS4 Biased needles 

std  are ABT or ADL

fast  road  varies  for AAB TOAAL 

if you have wax stats the first thing to do is prise it open remove the wax capsule and add 2x 1p  in the space  dont loose the small steel spacer ,
