Thinking i would keep it for the looks. Like the idea of hiding a more modern one. I have quite a few more modern ones. I could have the old one using the stereo with the speaker on the dash (mono really) and the door speakers with the modern.

A medium wave sharp stereo.  Should i replace or find some tapes to play in it?

That radio has VHF, or FM for the youngsters.

Just thinking that myself, good radios those Mathew. Even better if the cassette still works.

Mathew - Is that the unit that you posted about last week? The one that you only have 1 cassette for? If you want cassettes I have a big box full somewhere which are certainly surplus to my requirements, all with a selection of music, (not mine). I was given them and will probably never use them.

That is the unit. I have a wide variety of musical taste. From prog to rock 😄. No most music some thrash is a bit much and not big into gangster wrap!

Having filled my radio slot with gauges I bought one of these, I think it was even shallower than 9cm. It sit nearly unseen on the driver's side "envelope" shelf. Only the USB socket on RHS can be accessed and everything works off the remote clicker. £15 from China.
