Alot of people under rate these cars, even in standard form. Our little run on sunday reminded me why i love them. On the way home i frustrated a big audi that he could not shake me, in the end he had to seriously thrash his car to pull away a little bit! Even my mark 1 would leave most at the lights! Its good to see the prices on the rise, thus bringing them out of the banger racers clutches.

Back in the 70`s. I was then still into caravans, family holidays etc;. (R-V`s and Motorhomes Came later) The 2000, 2500 range where on my then Hit list, along with the Rover P6`s. In the end though the Granada won out, "in the right car, right time" Scenario. Always wondered what they would have been like towing a big Caravan?. Sat in a few, and was Impressed with the "Fitout". It`s nice to see them still showing a bit of "class".

Could have overtaken a few times!😄😆😅

Overdrive top it was average about 1500 rpm. 3rd flicking between overdrive on and off in town. Pulled quickly from 1000rpm and started to take off from 1500!

Only really started to open up an the way home.

Danny' s father was our local MP he photo'd my 2000 at sainsbugs  as Danny was in process of restoring the car

and Danny needed a lift back home and  drove my Vitesse 6 back from tssc stafford show and it was wow i was not expecting that  and then drove it like he stole it

"thats amazing" there was a  thought to do a article but that never happened you should find him judging at the Croydon (Cambs) classic show

I met him at a show a few years back, him and the at the time team from practical classics. Tore them off about there restorations, how everything was dipped, sent off to be done at this and that specialist! Said most can't afford there type of restoration, and needed more arcticals on how too. They did take it in good spirit and I'm sure they must have had others say the same . I did notice there was an increase in more do it yourself features! So well done to them.

(Sir) Greg Knight MP, is local to us, and a supporter of Classics too. I`ve personally never seen them. but I`m told he has a barn full. He brought his Alvis to the pub one time, that`s a pretty car.
