Spitfire Tyre pressures

Hi all 

Spitfire IV

I am running on standard rims and Continental 155 x 13 tyres. The recommended pressures seem a bit low what should I be running on?

Tricky one....

std is 21f 26r I think. But agreed, this seems too soft, especially at the front. Try 24f but keep the rear the same, or maybe increase a little?

 

Remember these are very light cars compared to tintops, and the 80 profile tyres will appear squidgy compared to the low profiles used on everything thesedays. The ultimate way to check pressure is correct is to look at teh tyre wear. On both edges=too soft, in the centre too hard. But that takes a long time! JohnD rates using a thermometer thingy (infrared?) and checking temps across the tyre.
