Richard R Posted June 9, 2021 Report Posted June 9, 2021 Hi, just joined forum. I want to fit inertia reel seat belts to the rear of my vitesse saloon. The club sell the belts but no fitting instructions specific to the car. I fitted some about 10 years ago to my old Vitesse PBO121G, but the kit I bought back then had instructions and plastic grommets to fit around the hole slit I had to make in the rear deck for the seat belt to slide through without chaffing. Can anyone supply advice re fitting, pictures & where to purchase the grommets? Thanks for reading.
Colin Lindsay Posted June 12, 2021 Report Posted June 12, 2021 I'm still checking for photographs... I had a full set of pictures on rear belts fitted to a convertible by use of a roll bar, will dig those out, but there should be someone who has routed them without.
Richard R Posted June 13, 2021 Author Report Posted June 13, 2021 Thanks Colin. Pics would give me a clue as to where others have made anchor points under rear seat. Cheers
martyn wright Posted June 13, 2021 Report Posted June 13, 2021 Hi! If you look at Vitesse Static Seatbelts under Bodywork & Fittings, page 3 there are pictures of fitting Static and Inerta Belts!
Richard R Posted June 13, 2021 Author Report Posted June 13, 2021 Thanks Martin, picked up a couple of pics showing under seat mounting in convertible. I am looking to fit the reel part to the wheel arch (see pic) and cut slit in rear deck for belt to feed through. Anyone got pics of where slit best located and what is used to stop belt rubbing on rear deck cut out?
