double email notice for new posts

I am getting double email notices when a new post is postage in a thread that I have commented on.

have it go a setting set up wrong or is that normal?

You're lucky! I occasionally get one, but mostly none. I think it's down to your OS?

That's new to me, never realised I should be getting an e mail. Never had one, just looked at my settings and it seems, to me, that I should be. 

I'm not bothered about it really, 😖

That is odd. I follow some posts on a 'immediate ' notification of a new post and get an email as soon as it happens. Other posts I have set on a daily basis, so one email listing all new posts comes late on in the day. Recently I seem to miss a few of the immediate and also I am getting two emails at the same time each night listing the rest. ???

Same here only get an email for personal messages. 

My email box has enough daily emails I don't want anymore!

+1 for that  unless you use  the "follow topic"  tab below the reply section there shouldnt be a problem

If you just go to 'follow' at the bottom of the topic, you can change or not follow.... just beaten by Pete!

I have set things for emails only for PMs and particular threads. Works fine for me.

I don't need notifications, I'm on here too many times per day... I like the surprise of seeing what's new.
