Tipidave
On my 1967 herald convertible the clutch is starting to bite upon lifting the pedal less than a centimetre from its lowest poin.?when on a run I have noticed it is difficult to engage first gear without a bit of a crunch. I imagined it was probably an incorrectly bled system, but after removing the tunnel and with the help of a friend we re-bled the system and no air was seen. There being no other adjustment I wonder what might be the cause... any suggestions and or remedies??? Thanks in advance david
Pete Lewis
i would have a look see if the throw out pivot pin is working its way out you can just see the hole its in down the rh side of the clutch hsg, the pin can fall right through and be lost on the road items 26/27 https://www.canleyclassics.com/?catalogue=triumph-herald-1200&diagram=triumph-herald-1200-gearbox also is the bleed nipple on top above the fluid pipe ??? and you if its a bleed problem push the slave piston back in as faras possible to reduce the capacitiy inside the slave bleed and then refit Pete
Nigel Clark
Could be as simple as a failing master or slave cylinder. Nigel
