Removing gearbox / D type OD. Vitesse . The comments above by John Kipping . Is there a way to remove the solenoid other than partial removal of the gearbox  . The box is coming out anyway and with the solenoid out there’s less chance of damaging it

yes Paul ( Gully) did a courier article when we rebuilt his leaky box and on here somewhere 

but long extention and uj fron down under to remove the screw

relace with long stud to extend beyond the sol. 

and use allen screws next time
