Webbo
Hi, I recently took my Herald for an MOT after a 2 year rebuild, it failed , indicators not working. This seemed odd as I had just fitted a new flasher unit and it was working before I took it for the test. Fitted another new flasher unit, indicators worked but the green light on the dash was hardly visible so I bought a relay flasher for a Land rover defender. This was great and I would use it, only when the engine is running the unit makes a clicking noise, any ideas why this should happen. Thanks. Chris A
I had a clicking noise from a similar unit in my 13/60 after my flasher unit failed. I sorted it by swapping the connections over for the indicators & green warning light. Indicators then functioned correctly but green light was either not working or very faint. There was voltage out of the relay. I put in a standard relay and replaced the dashboard bulb with a LED version which made it much more visible. Odd, but before the old unit failed the light was bright enough with standard bulb
Webbo
Tanks for the reply Chris, might have to have a fiddle with the wiring and consider an LED bulb.
