Not all tyres like all cars. Not all cars like all tyres. 

I fitted Continentals to my TR4A and they squealed like a pig (just like in an American movie)

The car works well with Vredstein T-Track (cheap but ugly) or the Sport classic (nice looking but expensive)

I'm sure other Vitesse owners will guide you better.

usual stuff. Probably 155/80 13 tyres if std sized wheels. My favorite brands, Toyo are cheap enough and perform well. Better, especially in the wet, Falken and Uniroyal. But Dunlop, Goodyear etc are all good. 

Avoid the budget stuff, not worth the saving.

I have Toyos on the Spitfire - it holds the road well and rides fine but they do tend to squeal on bends (or, especially, when parking). Don't know why.

Happy with the Uniroyal RainExpert tyres I have on my Spitfire.

Only tyres I've had that I didn't like on the Spit. were the Pirelli's it had on when I bought it.  Oddly high wear rate.

My GT6 Mk3 has Mohawk of the same size . These are made by Hancook - Chinese but I have no problems with them. Overall, the Dunlops give me greater confidence particularly on damp roads.
