Colin Lindsay
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLdK-CKW8BA This one features quite a lot in the video; St Etienne from 1991. Currently being shown repeatedly on BBC1 red button 'Music Videos from 1991'. The Herald is now MOT exempt but was tested every year until 2019, so is presumably still about somewhere.
Badwolf
Didn't a Spitfire feature in a McD burger ad a few years ago. I vaguely remember they filled it with water.

PeteH
I once did that. In a Hatchback!. What I thought was a shallow section of wet Devon road, Wasn't. As I found out when the door seals on a 6 month old Mk3 Escort failed to keep the water out!. The option was to continue. and once back on the "beach", lift the wet carpets and knock out the "grumits" to drain the interior. Result?. Hire car for 4days, whilst the Local Ford agents dried it out, and one very unhappy fleet manager!. Pete
Colin Lindsay
I bought a Volvo Estate, sight unseen, from a great friend - the PO had 'hosed' it in a vain attempt to claim water damage after heavy rain; he was bubbled on by a neighbour who saw him put the hosepipe through the window with the door closed... Volvo stated it required an entire rewiring so it was written off. I got it cheap from the mate who had collected it on behalf of the Insurance and had first option on it. Great car, smelled of damp for a bit but went well with no electrical issues whatsoever. Only problem is, he tried to sell me an Audi convertible about five years later, with exactly the same story... so I've no idea what exactly DID happen the Volvo. PeteH
A relative of a friend of mine had a similar issue with a SAAB. after a long battle it transpired the dealer he purchased it from, had bought it from a salvage operation, who had recovered the vehicles that where submerged when a Swedish Car carrier ran aground and took water onto the lower car decks. All the cars where supposed to have been scrapped!. Pete

PeteH
Useless Information; The Hamburg Poitzi. had some in the 60`s/ 70`s. Funniest thing you saw was one going backward, "full ahead" against the Elbe current/tide. We used to stand on the ship deck and watch them🤣. As I understand about the only thing "Triumph" was the engine?. Pete

I believe so; maybe a few other parts. They had a rather higher profile in the TSSC in the 80's -possibly even their own edition of the famed 'Turning Circle' supplement...
